Projection
NOTE 3hrs shooting (Saturday) & 2hrs shooting (Sunday) were enough for draining a battery. I don't have a spare-one so I took only 4 pictures. I spent much time on searching the right place. The park was too bright to project still at night. I should've done enough test.
Tough experience
I ordered inverter & 12V battery from online shopping on Wednesday and got all parts on Thursday. I was supposed to do project that night. But the battery had low Ah (12V-3Ah). It was small one for motorcycle. Then, I ordered another big battery (12V-40Ah) again and it was delivered on Saturday. It worked well. I brought them outside. The battery was not my main concern any more.
Then, a projector became the problem. It was hard to set the right position of it, especially projecting to the ground. After a number of try, I decided to change my concept from reflection to projection which still has common part, sarcasm.
I'm going to project the classical object onto new Seoul design object. Some of design object will look better and others will look unnecessary. Or it just look like a kind of signage system. This may lose the concept of Graffiti. Anyway, I hope everything will work well today.
This experience taught me about scheduling & planning.
(+) Still late at night, the park is too bright and, of course, crowded with teenage gangs.

Ttukseom han-gang riverside park
This park has been changed a lot thanks to Han-gang Renaissance Project.
At first, there were some bunch of trees and teenage gangs. The city government kick them out and started to renew whole things in the park, even old trees. I'm very thankful to walk in the beautiful park. But I still think that it costs an astronomical amount of money to renew. Today, a number of workers start to check the big fountain which will operate to the end of November. 2011-04-03
Reflection (modified 04/17)
photo: Tomas Rawski via Creative Commons (flickr)
Shadow reveals only when light source lightens the object. Although the shadow resembles an object, it means(infers) an opposite side of the object, either good or bad.
Thus, I want to project the shadow on the pavement The shadow is the opposite side of the object like reflection.
This requires the following techniques and devices;
3D software - Maya
projector -
battery - DC12V link
power inverter
cart
The contents of the shadow can be;
pictogram + sarcastic phrases
Sarcastic phrases may be direct and understood easily (even it's the role of sarcasm!).
Therefore, one option is the mix of pictogram and phrases that looks like something else.
Still phrases difficult to realize its meaning are good good option.

Good example of typo projection. They are simple & clear!

Pavement drawing + Shadow
by Julian Beever (google)
I'm thinking of the projection on pavement as a shadow.
Shadow represents (infers) the inside of things that the subject doesn't want to show.
The video clip below shows a funny interaction between a shadow and a person who owns it!
